The site was previously occupied by a large Victorian industrial building with a function relating to its immediate proximity to the inland navigational waterway. The building has recently been demolished to make way for new a mixed-use development.
The client is looking to develop the 0.6 hectares of land for apartments and housing alongside the inland navigation and some commercial units at a higher level to the main site. A Pre-Application Enquiry has established the fundamental requirements for the development of the site and a more detailed design, in accordance with the comments, is in progress.
The proposed mixed-use development will offer much needed facilities to add to the recent re-generation which has taken place in the area.
