Bespoke Residential Development
Beverley, East Yorkshire

This bespoke residential development comprises exclusive four- and five-bedroom Georgian, Victorian and Regency style dwellings in a woodland setting with beautiful mature trees dating back to the 19th Century, overlooking the Westwood and adjacent to the Racecourse.  The site is 3.72 hectares and accommodates 36 new homes.

It is undoubtedly one of the best sites in the East Riding of Yorkshire, previously occupied by Longcroft Hall, a private home for Mr J A Hudson which was subsequently converted into a college for young adults.  The opportunity to design a scheme for such bespoke and high-quality homes in various styles is rarely presented to architects and was a privilege to undertake.

A consideration of the project was the narrow access lane leading to site which provided a unique opportunity to design a low-density development that accommodated bespoke luxurious homes with comfortable outdoor space in a woodland setting.
