The proposed site is located in the market town of Market Weighton on West Junction, the depot for the old cattle pens located on the N.E.R. Market Weighton to York line.
The proposed site is irregular in nature and transversed by multiple utility services and pipes, resulting in it being challenging to develop. The 30 new homes are located adjacent to the Conservation Area so greater care on detailing the dwellings closer to the front of the site was required.
