Laying within the boundary of what was the Archbishop of York’s vast deer park in the Middle Ages, Figham Gate 2 is the second phase of a larger residential development on the south-east edge of Beverley, consisting of 35 new two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.
The 2.4 hectare allocated site which forms Phase 2 was a residual parcel of land left over from a potential southern bypass which was never constructed in the anticipated location and consequently became overgrown. The proposed development has been designed at a low density and accommodates a large area of green open space at the heart of the development. A palette of contemporary materials creates an interesting aesthetic for the site.
The first phase of Figham Gate was a 20-home development of two and four bedroomed homes on the south-east edge of Beverley, successfully completed in 2017.
