New home on former farmland.
The proposed site is a small village located 7 miles north of Pocklington on the banks of the river Derwent. The plot of land is located on the main street and sweeps down to the river and field beyond.
Following the purchase of former farmland, the clients commissioned Sangwin Architects to design a new home for themselves and their family. The dwelling has been designed to resemble a Manor House or Farm House with central doorway and symmetrical windows on either side. The use of red brick and pantiles will seamlessly integrate the new building into existing surroundings and considerably enhance the village street scene.
